Report: G7 to announce ban on Russian diamonds by end of October

MOSCOW, Oct 25 (PRIME) -- G7 countries may announce ban on diamonds from Russia by the end of October, which will be followed by an E.U. proposal for a new package of sanctions against Russia, Reuters reported on Wednesday citing diplomatic sources.

The source said that the G7 statement is expected within a week, while the E.U.'s twelfth package of sanctions will focus on Russian diamonds.
